Description
English: Lance Cpl. Aaron Garza prepares a rack in the rear of an M997 A2 ambulance Humvee for a patient hell pick up, Jan. 11, 2005, from a helicopter at the flight line. The nuclear, biological and chemical-protected ambulances can hold up to eight walking wounded, or four litters for incapacitating injuries, explained Lance Cpl. Nathan P. Lukens a 23-year-old Phoenix, Ariz., native. The Marines know that the quicker they get patients to the doctors and corpsmen of the S/STP, the easier it is for the docs to save their brothers-in-arms. Its that knowledge that makes them strive to be faster and better at what they do.
