DescriptionUSMC-100609-M-0761B-057.jpg |
English: Sergeant Adam Beltram, Explosive Ordinance Disposal, Combat Logistics Group 26, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, crimps a cap onto a fuse during a demolitions range at Realistic Urban Training aboard Fort A.P. Hill, Va., June 9, 2010. He does this behind his back because if the cap were to go off, it would send metal shards towards his backside and away from him rather than in his face. This was just one of many courses conducted during the 18-day Realistic Urban Training Exercises the MEU will participate in as part of its pre-deployment training. The urban environment is among the most challenging tactical environments MEU Marines may face during their scheduled deployment later this fall. |
