English: MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Lieutenant James F. Amos speaks with Chief Warrant Officer Philip R. before presenting him with a Bronze Star Medal Jan. 12 for his meritorious achievement while serving as Chief Technical Operations Officer while serving in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. As a key member of the Human Intelligence Support Element, he discovered enemy weapons stockpiles, safe houses, smuggling routes and enemy fugitive command facilities during the battle against Al-Qaida and the Taliban.
