Description
English: Major General Michael R. Lehnert, Commanding General for Marine Corps Installations West, gazes at the newly unveiled Distinguished Marines stamps, which bare the faces of four legendary Marines, during the first day of issue ceremony at Camp Pendleton's Paige Fieldhouse Nov. 10. The stamps commemorate Daniel J. Daly, John Basilone, John A. Lejeune and Lewis B. Puller for serving their country with bravery and distinction during the 20th Century . The stamps took ten years to develop.
