Description
English: Cpl. Lewis Meza, ropes noncommissioned officer, Technical Rescue Platoon with II Marine Expeditionary Force's Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, hooks up, checks and re-checks, a class 3 harness preparing Lance Cpl. Christopher Anderson, legal administrator, for rappel from the St. Louis Fire Department fire tower, Aug. 8. According to Meza, of Tucson, Ariz., CBIRF Marines and sailors training with St. Louis-area fire companies is an important part of facilitating working relationships with civilian responders with whom they would have to work in a crisis environment. Though the first time rappeling since recruit training, Anderson, who is from St. Louis, said his trust in the equipment and his fellow CBIRF Marines gave him the confidence to complete the task.
