Description
English: Soviet commemorative 1 ruble Cu-Ni coin (mass: 12.8g, mf: N/A, diameter: 31mm, thickness: 2.3mm, quality: proof) of Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov.
  • Obverse shows the coat of arms of the USSR, the Russian text for "USSR" (СССР, tr: SSSR), the coin's denomination of 1 ruble (1 РУБЛЬ, tr:1 RUBL'), and the date of mintage (1990).
  • Reverse shows a bust of Marshal Zhukov with the Marshal of the Soviet Union rank epaulette on the left shoulder, four "Hero of the Soviet Union" medals on the left chest, and what looks like the Soviet "Order of Victory" close to the neck area, the text "Marshal of the USSR G. K. Zhukov" in Russian (МАРШАЛ СССР Г. К. ЖУКОВ, tr: MARSHAL SSSR G. K. ZHUKOV) on the coin's upper rim and the dates of his birth and death on the lower rim (1896-1974).
