Her conversion started in January 1959 and she recommissioned as CG-10 on 3 November 1962. At left is the destroyer USS Johnston (DD-821) which underwent her FRAM I conversion at Boston from 4 January to 31 October 1962. In the forground are the destroyer USS Hugh Purvis (DD-709) and USS Forrest Sherman (DD-931). |
