Summary edit

Description

The U.S. Navy aircraft carriers USS Enterprise (CV-6) and USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVB-42) at anchor. Moored aft of the carriers is the heavy cruiser USS Augusta (CA-31), in 1945.

Note: The description states that this photo was taken at Boston, Massachusetts (USA), where Enterprise was modified for the "Magic Carpet" runs. However, the arrangement of ships resembles the one for the Navy Day celebrations at New York on 27 October 1945.
