Description	PHILIPPINE SEA (July 1, 2013) The guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) fires its MK-45 5-inch/.54-caliber lightweight gun during a live-fire exercise during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Philippines 2013. More than 600 Sailors and Marines are participating in CARAT Philippines 2013. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor Leste.
