DescriptionUSS Michael Murphy returns to Pearl Harbor after recovery operations 140304-F-AD344-015.jpg |
English: The U.S. Navy USS Michael Murphy, a guided missile destroyer, sails into port, transferring 19 civilian dependents from Her Majesty’s Canada Ship Protecteur, a Royal Canadian Navy auxiliary oil replenishing ship, March 4, 2014, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The 19 civilian dependents were rescued by crew members of the USS Chosin and USS Michael Murphy after the HMCS Protecteur experienced a fire 340 nautical miles from Hawaii. The U.S. Navy and Royal Canadian Navy worked together to ensure safety during the emergency. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Christopher Hubenthal) |
