Description
English: The amphibious transport dock ship USS New York, bottom, approaches the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Laramie, while the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima conducts a replenishment at sea. Iwo Jima is the flagship of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group and with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
