Description The U.S. Navy heavy cruiser USS Quincy (CA-39) at Noumea, New Caledonia, on the eve of the invasion of Guadalcanal, 3 August 1942. She was sunk six days later, during the Battle of Savo Island. Note Quincy's signal flags and Measure 12 (Modified) camouflage scheme.
