BUSAN, Republic of Korea (March 17, 2017) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Mark Areta (right), from Kent, Washington assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108), arm wrestles a student of Daeyeon High School for Boys during a community outreach event. Wayne E. Meyer is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend U.S. 3rd Fleet command and control functions into the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
