English: Sgt. 1st Class James Flemon, Medical Activity; Sgt. Jovan Luna, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Combined Arms Center, Special Troops Battalion; and Spc. Courtney Gardiner, MEDDAC, members of the Fort Leavenworth Color Guard dressed as Buffalo Soldiers, gather around a plaque after the Fort Larned deceased Soldier memorial dedication ceremony Sept. 19 at the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery. The memorial lists the names of Soldiers who died at Fort Larned from 1859-1878 and whose remains may have been re-interred in "Unknown U.S. Soldier" graves at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery in 1888.
