| Description |
English: The U.S. Marshals Service, alongside federal and local law enforcement, conducted Operation North Star II (ONS II), in nine U.S. cities and Puerto Rico, resulting in over 1100 warrants cleared and more than 900 arrests made.
Focusing on state and local felony cases of homicide, sexual assault, robbery, and assault, this one-month operation is intended to disrupt violent crime in some of our most dangerous cities. In early January, USMS Director Ronald L. Davis launched ONS II, this National Enforcement Initiative aimed at combating violent crime in Albuquerque, NM., Buffalo, NY, Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH, Detroit, MI, Jackson, MS, Kansas City, MO, Milwaukee, WI, Oakland, CA and the U.S. Territory of Puerto Rico.
