English: At sea aboard USS Tarawa (LHA 1) Nov. 1, 2002 -- Plane handlers move an AV-8B “Harrier” aircraft in the ship’s hangar bay. The amphibious assault ship is participating in a Component Training Underway Exercise (COMPTUEX) off the coast of Southern California, the first of three major training exercises with the U.S. Marine’s 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (15th MEU) and Tarawa’s Amphibious Ready Group (ARG).
