English: At sea aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) Jan. 29, 2003 -- Aviation Boatswain's Mate Airman Joey Valentine from Oakland, Calif., inspects the Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) and countermeasure wash down sprinkler system on the ship’s flight deck. The sprinkler system is a vital feature during emergency circumstances requiring aircraft fire fighting or protection against harmful airborne contaminants. Stennis is conducting sea trials after completing a seven-month Planned Incremental Availability (PIA) period. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer’s Mate 2nd Class Jayme Pastoric. (RELEASED)
