English: The Arabian Gulf (Mar. 6, 2003) -- Aviation Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Vincent Machuca from Cinnarron, N.M., performs preventative maintenance on a ‘hold back bar’ which keeps an aircraft under tension before launching from one of four steam-powered catapults on the flight deck aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72).
