English: Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Apr. 26, 2003) -- Sailors man the rails aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) while transiting into Pearl Harbor for a brief one-day liberty port after the ship’s 10-month deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group flew more than 1600 sorties and expended 1.6 million pounds of ordnance, including 116 Tomahawks during the deployment. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
