English: Gulf of Aden (Jul. 9, 2003) -- Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Jason P. Lynskey stands the Gunnery Liaison Officer (GLO) watch on the bridge of the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) as the ship patrols the Gulf of Aden. The GLO watch is one of many force protection measures Iwo Jima has taken since transiting the Suez Canal. Iwo Jima is on her maiden deployment in support of the Operation Iraqi Freedom.
