English: San Diego, Calif. (July 13, 2003) -- The amphibious assault ship USS Tarawa (LHA 1) heads toward her berth at Naval Station San Diego with her Sailors and Marines "manning the rails," as they complete their six-month deployment. Tarawa and her embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) supported U.S. and coalition forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom. U.S. Navy photo by Senior Chief Photographer’s Mate Mahlon K. Miller.
