Commander, Naval Air Reserve Force has announced that VR-48 has been awarded the 2003 Noel Davis Battle Efficiency Award. During 2003, VR-48 operated on six continents, flew more than 3000 mishap-free flight hours, hauled 183,922 pounds of cargo, transported over 4935 passengers, and completed 24 overseas detachments, with only one not in direct combat support of U. S. Navy Forces Central Command (NAVCENT), U. S.
