English: Atlantic Ocean (Apr. 26, 2004) - Aviation Boatswain's Mate Equipment Airman Jorge Linarez, of North Plainfield, N.J., applies grease to a purchase cable in a machinery room aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Airman Linarez was credited in saving purchase cable from extensive damage when he reported to his superiors on a cable malfunction during ship's flight deck qualifications in the summer of 2003. Ronald Reagan is finishing up a six-month Post Shakedown Availability period at Northrop Grumman Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Va., and is preparing for transit to its homeport of San Diego, Calif.
