DescriptionUS Navy 040618-N-9742R-033 An MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter assigned to the.jpg |
English: Atlantic Ocean (Jun. 18, 2004) - An MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter assigned to the "Chargers" of Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Six (HC-6), prepares to depart the fantail of the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65) with a load of ordnance. Enterprise Weapons Department personnel use diesel forklifts to stage more ordnance on an aircraft elevator during an ammunition offload with the fast combat support ship USS Detroit (AOE 4). Enterprise and Detroit are currently underway in support of Summer Pulse 2004 Exercise. Summer Pulse 2004 is the simultaneous deployment of seven aircraft carrier strike groups (CSGs), demonstrating the ability of the Navy to provide credible combat across the globe, in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces. Summer Pulse is the Navy's first deployment under its new Fleet Response Plan (FRP). U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 3rd Class Milosz Reterski (RELEASED)
