English: Panama City, Fla. (Aug. 3, 2004) - Rigger Burley Watkins helps guide a MK-62 Quick Strike Mine shape off the project support boat. Naval Surface Warfare Center personnel collected forty inert mine shapes used recently in tests. The MK-62 mine is one of a new generation of weapons closely related to the Destructor family of mines. It is an aircraft-laid bottom mine used against submarines and surface targets.
