Image title | 041216-N-1438S-001 -- FALLUJAH, Iraq -- Builder 1st Class Neil Reno and Construction Electrician 3rd Class Scott Tyner clear a building prior to an assessment team mission in Fallujah, Iraq. Teams attached to the I Marine Expeditionary Force Engineer Group (I MEG) began conducting assessments on the heels of some of the fiercest fighting since the war's onset - thanks to Seabees like Reno and Tyner. Reno and Tyner are Navy Reserve Seabees attached to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 23's (NMCB-23) Tactical Movement Team (TMT). TMTs are
a mobile engineering and security force, designed to offer Seabee expertise with Marine tactical capabilities. TMT's provide security escort formerly only offered by Marine forces. The concept is new, and it has proven successful in Iraq. U.S. Navy photo by JOC(AW) Suzanne Speight |
