(Mar. 17, 2005) – Damage Controlman 1st Class Jeff Smith, from the U.S. Navy “Leap Frogs” parachute team, throws out the first pitch as the rest of the “Leap Frog” team backs him up during a spring training baseball game between the Anaheim Angels and the Kansas City Royals at Tempe Diablo Stadium. The event was part of Phoenix’s Navy Week. 20 such weeks are planned this year in cities throughout the U.S., arranged by the Navy Office of Community Outreach (NAVCO).
