English: Atlantic Ocean (Apr. 4, 2005) - A Naval Aviator watches as an F/A-18C Hornet, assigned to the "Salty Dogs" of Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Two Three (VX-23), as it prepares to land on the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). Eisenhower is currently underway in the Atlantic Ocean conducting flight deck certification and carrier qualifications after a four-year mid-life overhaul.
