English: Atlantic Ocean (Dec. 5, 2005) – An F/A-18 Hornet, assigned to the "Gladiators" of Strike Fighter Squadron One Zero Six (VFA-106), prepares for launch on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). VFA-106 is the East Coast Fleet Replacement Squadron for all models of the F/A-18 Hornet aircraft and is stationed at Naval Air Station Oceana, Va.
