English: Norfolk, Va. (May 25,2006) - The guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61) returns to Naval Station Norfolk. The ship is part of the George Washington Carrier Strike group, which participated in Partnership of Americas, a maritime training and readiness deployment of the U.S. Naval Forces with Caribbean and Latin American countries in support of the U.S. Southern Command's (SOUTHCOM) objectives for enhanced maritime security.
