Description
English: Singapore (June 12, 2006) - Republic of Singapore Navy Sailors pull alongside U.S. Navy teammates assigned to the dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) and guided-missile frigate USS Crommelin (FFG 37) during a sports day tug-of-war at Changi Naval Base. Sports day was one of the last official events during the Singapore phase of exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT). CARAT is an annual series of bilateral maritime training exercises between the U.S. and six Southeast Asia nations designed to build relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the participating forces.
