English: Okinawa, Japan (Aug. 31, 2006) – Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV), Dr. Donald C. Winter, with Commander, Amphibious Forces 7th Fleet Rear Adm. Victory G. Guillory, visit with Sailors assigned to amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2), while pier side at White Beach Naval Facility, prior to an all hands call. Secretary Winter spoke to Sailors about the changes that will be taking place in the Navy, especially in the Pacific, and assured them that the Navy will continue aiming to provide a high quality of life for them and their families.
