Description
English: MAYPORT, Fla. (May 9, 2007) - Commanding Officer of Peruvian navy submarine Chipana (SS-34), Cmdr. Alessandro Mogni, talks with Mayport Naval Station's Public Affairs Officer Bill Austin about the German-made diesel electric submarine. The Chipana is currently moored at Mayport Naval Station while the crew enjoys some liberty before continuing their part in Submarine Diesel Exercise (SUBDIEX) 2007. SUBDIEX 07 is a bi-lateral, U.S. and Peruvian exercise in support of the Diesel Electric Submarine Initiative.
