English: AFGHANISTAN (Nov. 7, 2007) - An F/A-18C Hornet, attached to the "Knighthawks" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 136, tests its flare countermeasures system during sunset, just prior to beginning a Close Air Support mission in support of ground forces in Afghanistan. VFA-136 is assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1 embarked aboard USS Enterprise (CVN 65).
