English: DJIBOUTI (Dec. 15, 2007) Djiboutian Navy Lt. Waiss Omar Bogoreh and U.S. Navy Commodore Frank Ponds, commander, Kearsage Strike Group, cut a Djiboutian and American flag cake to symbolize a partnership between the two countries during a reception at end the Operation Image Nautilus aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44). Image Nautilus is an annual U.S. Naval Forces Central Command-sponsored bi-lateral exercise between the Djiboutian Armed forces and the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. This exercise will provide the 22 Marine Expeditionary Unit the opportunity to conduct community relations projects in the vicinity of Camp Lemonier. It is designed to enhance Djibouti's defense capability, U.S. Central Command's Theater Security Cooperation and to strengthen the military-to-military relationships between the United States and Djibouti.
