English: KALIBO, Philippines (July 1, 2008) Aviation Warfare Systems Operator 2nd Class Slavek Glownia and a villager from Kalibo move a box of humanitarian supplies from an SH-60F Seahawk flown by members of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 4. Glownia and pilots and aircrew of HS-4 have been flying into Panay Island airlifting thousands of pounds of food and water in the wake of Typhoon Fengshen. Glownia and the rest of the pilots and Aircrewmen have been flying into Panay Island air-lifting thousands of pounds of food and water in the wake of Typhoon Fengshen.
At the request of the government of the Republic of the Philippines, USS Ronald Reagan is off the coast of Panay Island providing humanitarian assistance and disaster response in the wake of Typhoon Fengshen. USS Ronald Reagan and other U.S. Navy ships are operating in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility to promote peace, cooperation and stability.
