Description
English: NORTH ARABIAN SEA (Sept. 1, 2008) Rear Adm. Scott R. Van Buskrik, commander, Carrier Strike Group (CCSG) 9, makes an arrested landing onto the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) in an F/A-18 assigned to "Bounty Hunters" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 2. Van Buskrik flew from the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) to the Ronald Reagan to perform an informal turnover with Rear Adm. Phil Wisecup, CCSG-7, prior to Lincoln's departure from the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. Ronald Reagan is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility and is focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
