Description
English: PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 21, 2008) Senior Chief Master-at-Arms Lester L. Longley, from Orlando, Fla., stands at parade rest during a burial at sea aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). The cremated remains of nine former service members were committed to the sea during a solemn and dignified ceremony. The USS Abraham Lincoln Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility operating in the western Pacific and Indian oceans.
