English: GULF OF OMAN (Oct. 13, 2008) Aviation Structural Mechanic (Equipment) 2nd Class Michael Chandler works on the engine of a F/A-18E Super Hornet assigned to the "Eagles" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 115 in hangar bay 3 of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). As an aviation structural mechanic (equipment), Chandler is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on aircraft parts. Ronald Reagan is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility, focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
