English: GULF OF OMAN (Nov. 5, 2008) Aviation Structural Mechanic Airman Marty Baum, from Syracuse, N.Y., connects hydraulic lines to the hydraulic drive unit in the aviation hydraulics shop aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). Theodore Roosevelt and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 8 are operating in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility, and are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
