English: PEARL HARBOR (Dec. 23, 2008) Mary Kidd-Plumer, center, and her four daughters drop flower petals from a lei given as a token of appreciation to her family. The family traveled from Atlanta to Oahu, Hawaii to visit the final resting place of Mary's grandfather, Rear Adm. Isaac C. Kidd, entombed at the USS Arizona Memorial. Kidd was aboard the battleship USS Arizona during the Dec. 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and died when Arizona exploded and subsequently sank.
