English: ARABIAN SEA (Aug. 4, 2010) An F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the Checkerboards of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 312, ignites afterburners during a launch from the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
