| Description |
English: Upper Cwm Claerddu. Looking from Banc Dafadbeddol across the upper Cwm Claerddu towards the high-level bogland (152447) making up the source grounds of the Afon Elan (412920). The Afon Claerddu (411693) itself is the main feeder of the Claerwen reservoir (209509), which is part of the Elan system. The stream in the gully opposite is Nant Canol. The whole area is very boggy and mostly covered in long, wet grass. The high points, such as Banc Dafadbeddol, are covered in mosses, which stand out at this time of year (January) because they are the only green vegetation. |
