Description

Im Amazonas gibt es einige sehr interessante Bäume. So gibt es zum Beispiel den "walking tree", welcher im Jahr 2 bis 3 Meter wandert. Dieser Baum steht auf ca. 20 dünnen Beinen und ist in der Lage, langsam aber stetig, ein neues Bein wachsen und ein altes absterben zu lassen. Ich nehme an, dass der Baum so auf der Suche nach fruchtbarem Boden ist. Weiter gibt es einen mit Stacheln besetzter Baum, der hochgiftig ist. Schon kleine Mengen des Gifts können einen Menschen töten. Wer einen solchen Baum fällt, muss dazu eine Schutzmaske tragen, denn das Gift spritzt beim Holzen auf dem Baum hinaus.

Oder dann wäre da noch der "killer tree" oder "parasite tree". Dieser Baum sucht sich einen anderen Baum und fängt an, diesen langsam zu umschlingen. Der umschlungene Baum wird langsam abgetötet und regelrecht ausgesaugt. Der Parasiten-Baum ernährt sich sozusagen von anderen Bäumen.
