Military observers are shown witnessing the eighth in the current series of atomic blasts on the Nevada Proving Grounds. Over 600 high ranking officers from the Armed Forces observed today's blast which has been described at the most spectacular to date. In addition to the official military observers, over 2,000 troops of two Battalion Combat Teams participated in the exercise by attacking through ground zero shortly after the detonation.The participation of military personnel is designed to teach servicemen what they must do in order to defend themselves and protect their equipment against atomic blast by the enemy. | |
