Beta, MERAK - Del árabe: Maraqq ad-Dhubb al-Akbar, "el ijar de la osa grande". Estrella de color blanco-verdoso. Gamma, PHECDA - Del árabe: Fakhidh ad-Dubb al-Akbar, "la canilla de la osa grande". Estrella blanca. Delta, MEGREZ - Del árabe: Maghriz adh-Dhanab ad-Dubb al-Akbar, "la raíz de la cola de la osa grande". Estrella blanca.
