DescriptionUwchlaw'r-ffynnon Farm - geograph.org.uk - 686242.jpg |
English: Uwchlaw'r-ffynnon Farm. Uwchlaw'r-ffynnon means simply "above the well" - the farm being sited on the hillside above St Aelhaearn's Holy Well. It was here that Robert Hughes, the founder and unpaid pastor of Y Babell Calvinist Methodist Chapel struggled to make a living in the 19th C and where his grandson, the leading jurist, Sir David Hughes Parry was born in 1893.
