Uxmal Phallic Temple 1986

Summary edit

Description
English: Maya site of Uxmal, Yucatan. Reportedly there were formerly a fair number of architectural carvings with phallic themes on the buildings, but many were removed in preparation for the visit to the ruins by "Empress" Carlota in the 1860s. What is known as the "Phallic Temple" is some distance away from the main site, and was spared. It has penis shaped rain spouts.
