Description
English: Remains of cut tree trunks on the dry edges, after the summer, of the Vézoles lake. On the riverbank a Picea abies forest. Commune of Prémian (Hérault, France).
Note that there is very often a hard and steady wind coming from north and northwest in this place, and the trees grows leaning, and without branches or with less branches on the exposed side to the wind. That explain why the trees look leaning in the photo because they are really leaning. The lake is an artificial lake and these trunks probably had been cut before the creation of the lake, the parts now visible were surely buried, but the time did its work and the soil that was around was gone, removed by the water which is here at a low level at the end of the summer.
