It is believed that this red pottery vase was once used in offerings to the fertility god Min in the temple dedicated to him at Koptos now Qift.The vessel is thought to date from the 18th dynasty and more specifically from the reign of w:Tuthmosis III ( circa 1479-1425 BC).
